NFL Picks - Detroit Lions vs Cleveland Browns

Detroit Lions -2.5, total 45 at Diamond sportsbook

Detroit Lions 3-2 SU, 3-2 ATS

The Detroit Lions were missing wide receiver Calvin Johnson last week and they completely laid an egg on offense without him. The offense scored just 9 points in a 22-9 loss at Green Bay. Quarterback Matthew Stafford has never done anything in his career without Johnson in the lineup and he didn?t get much help as running back Reggie Bush had just 44 yards.

Cleveland Browns 3-2 SU, 3-2 ATS

The Cleveland Browns lost starting quarterback Brian Hoyer to injury last week but Brandon Weeden stepped right in and played well. He now has the starting job again because Hoyer is out for the season. "Whether I was the starter, eyes are still on you to see how you respond, to see how you react," he said. "I was upbeat the entire time and never let it bother me. Inside, it just kind of lit a fire." It will now be up to Weeden to lead the Browns the rest of the season.

Series Notes

These two teams have not met that often with the last meeting coming in 2009 when the Detroit Lions won a 38-37 shootout at home. They have not played in Cleveland since 2005 when the Detroit Lions won 13-10.

NFL Picks

I think this game go right down to the wire so I will take the points with the Cleveland Browns and also play the game under the NFL lines.
