Harrison Ford Lists His Gerard Colcord House in Brentwood ...

Friday, April 6, 2012, by Pauline O'Connor

Today over at the Real Estalker, Your Mama shares the scuttlebutt that
studly actor and wearer of stud earrings Harrison Ford has just listed his Gerard Colcord-designed Brentwood estate. As the scarily well-informed celeb real estate sleuth notes, this development comes as no surprise in light of the fact that Ford and his wife, Brothers and Sisters actress Calista Flockhart, recently shelled out $12.65 million for a Brobdingnagian spread in Mandeville Canyon. According to public records, Ford purchased the Brentwood residence back in 1983 for an even $1 million. Located on a .79 acre lot just below the Getty, the property includes a 7,164 square feet main house plus one-bedroom guesthouse and two additional detached staff suites. Per the listing, the country colonial-style home, originally designed by Colcord in 1951, has "been restored/remod to exacting standards & w/ grt respect for the classic architecture." Features include "polished wood floors, paneled walls, beau moldings, extensive blt-ins," four original fireplaces, a wine cellar, a detached workshop, and swimming pool. Asking price is $8.295 million.
